Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data is processed when you use yeswetest.com (“YesWeTest”, “we”). In short, the controller tests run entirely in your browser and we don't collect your device's inputs. Like most websites, our server keeps technical logs, and advertising partners may use cookies as described below.

1. Controller tests

Our tools use the Gamepad API of your browser. The button and axis values of your wheel, pedals, joystick or gamepad, and the device name the browser reports, are processed only in your browser while the page is open. They aren't transmitted to our server or to third parties, and they're deleted when you close or reload the page.

2. Server logs

When you visit a page, our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as IP address, date and time, the page requested, referring page, browser type and operating system. These logs are needed to deliver the site securely and to detect abuse. They're kept for a limited time and aren't combined with other data.

Contact form and email

If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we use your name, email address and the content of your message only to answer you. Messages are delivered by email and are deleted when they are no longer needed to handle your request, unless the law requires us to keep them. We do not use them for advertising or pass them on.

3. Language detection

When you open the main address (yeswetest.com/), the server uses the country associated with your IP address and your browser's language setting to send you to a matching language version. This happens on the fly; we don't store the result. If you choose a language yourself, a functional cookie named ywt_lang remembers your choice for one year. Your colour theme choice (light or dark) is stored in your browser's local storage, not on our server.

4. Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense, a service of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), to show advertising. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites, to limit how often you see an ad and to measure ad performance.

• Where required by law, for example for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, ads that use cookies for personalisation are only shown after you consent through the consent banner. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the privacy settings link shown on the site.

5. Legal bases (GDPR)

Server logs and the language cookie are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure, usable website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Advertising cookies and personalisation are based on your consent where consent is required (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to complain to a data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@yeswetest.com.

7. Children

This site is intended for a general audience and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date of the latest version is shown at the top of this page.
